About the Role

Southend Rangers Football Club is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and reliable Club Assistant to join our team and support the day-to-day running and development of the club.

This is a varied, hands-on role that covers everything from administration and social media through to kit printing, order fulfilment, stock management, photography and travel logistics.

The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced sporting environment, is comfortable getting stuck into different tasks and can work independently while also being part of a wider team.

As part of a wider football group, there will also be opportunities and requirements to travel to other clubs within the group on an ad-hoc basis, supporting their operations and events when required.


Key Responsibilities


📋 Club Administration

  • Supporting the day-to-day administration of the football club

  • Managing club records, documents and spreadsheets

  • Responding to enquiries from players, parents, coaches and other stakeholders

  • Assisting with registrations, fixtures, events and general club organisation

  • Providing administrative support to coaches and management


📱 Social Media & Content

  • Managing and updating club social media channels

  • Creating engaging content across platforms

  • Photographing matches, training sessions and club events

  • Capturing behind-the-scenes content and player/team features

  • Assisting with the creation of graphics, announcements and promotional material

  • Helping to grow the club's online presence and engagement


📸 Photography

  • Taking matchday and training photography

  • Capturing player, team and event content

  • Organising and maintaining the club's photo/video library

  • Editing images and preparing content for social media and promotional use


👕 Kit Printing & Orders

  • Printing player names, numbers and other designs onto football shirts and kit

  • Preparing and fulfilling online and club shop orders

  • Packing and dispatching orders

  • Checking orders for accuracy and quality

  • Assisting customers with kit and order enquiries


📦 Stock Management

  • Monitoring club and kit stock levels

  • Receiving and organising deliveries

  • Maintaining accurate stock records

  • Preparing kit for teams, players and events

  • Identifying stock requirements and assisting with re-ordering

  • Keeping the club's storage and work areas organised


✈️ Travel & Logistics

  • Booking travel and accommodation for teams, staff and club representatives

  • Helping coordinate travel arrangements for fixtures, tournaments and events

  • Assisting with matchday and event logistics

  • Travelling to other clubs within the group on an ad-hoc basis when required


About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks

  • Reliable, punctual and willing to get stuck in

  • Confident communicating with people of all ages

  • Comfortable using social media platforms

  • Creative and able to produce engaging content

  • Confident using computers, email and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace

  • Able to work independently and use initiative

  • Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the club

  • Passionate about football and/or sport

  • Comfortable working evenings and weekends when required


Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:

  • Football or sports club administration

  • Social media management

  • Photography or videography

  • Graphic design/content creation

  • E-commerce or order fulfilment

  • Stock/inventory management

  • Garment printing or embroidery

  • Event or travel coordination

Previous football club experience is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided where required.
